Residential Camper Check-In

Students living on campus in a residence hall for the Fall semester are able to move into their residence hall early! SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp Check-In and Housing Move-In occur from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Day 1 of your registered camp session. 

Move-in details will be listed below when finalized and will be emailed out one week prior to your registered camp session.

Residential Camper Parking

Residential campers who wish to have a vehicle on campus during SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp and/or during the school year must purchase a permit for their designated zone. Permits will be available for purchase beginning later this summer. Once those are available, you can review your option(s) by following the instructions below.

After acquiring your permit, residential campers will be able to park in their designated parking permit area throughout the duration of SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp and into the school year.

When available, you can obtain your Fall parking permit:

1. with your Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ID and password.
2. Access the Parking & Transportation card.
3. Click "Access My Parking Account."
4. Follow the prompts to register your vehicle and purchase your permit. 

Important Parking Notes

• Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle. We are not responsible for items that may be lost or stolen during Camp.
• All vehicles must park head in so that your license plate is visible from the aisle.
• If you don't see the residential permit option, check back the next business day to see if your parking portal has been updated.
• Parents/Guests/Rental Vehicles. Any vehicle that is not registered with the university (parent/guest vehicles, rentals, etc.) will have special parking instructions emailed out one week prior to your registered camp session.

Commuter Camper Check-In

If you will not be living on campus this fall, you will be a commuter for SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp - meaning you'll join us each day for all the camp activities, then head home each evening rather than staying overnight in the residence halls.

This is simply because our halls will already be in preparation for our Fall 2026 residents during camp dates, so we're not able to offer on-campus housing at this time. Don't worry, you'll still get the full SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp experience right alongside everyone else!.

Detailed check-in instructions for commuter students will be included in our full logistics email closer to camp.

Schedule Highlights

Early Move-In Option

Students living on campus and participating in SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp A and B will move into their assigned Residence Hall room during Check-In/Move-In on the first day of their camp session. 

Krewe Time

Campers will be assigned to small groups, better known as Krewes during camp. Each Krewe will lead by two of our student mentors.

Community Service Project

During SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp Day of Service, campers will be grouped with student mentors and faculty/staff members from the University to complete a variety of community service projects in the Acadiana region.

Pump It Up!

Krewes will showcase their Ragin' Cajun pride through Krewe chants, cheers, banners, and skits. Each Krewe symbolizes a significant University tradition or special piece of campus history. During Pump It Up, you'll learn about the rich traditions, culture, and history that make our campus so unique.

Ragin' Routine Rounds

Ragin' Routine Rounds is designed to mimic a typical class day. Students will attend five "classes" on the topics of Personality, Career Preparation, Leadership, and Academic Success.

Day 3 (August 17 / August 21)

Remember, this is a three-day camp experience and we will be spending ample time outdoors. Please bring enough clothes and other personal items to ensure your own personal comfort.

What Not to Bring

SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp is an official University of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ at Lafayette event and will be tobacco-, drug-, and alcohol-free. Weapons or other destructive devices are not allowed at SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp. Any camper who brings such items will be subject to the and will be asked to leave camp immediately. 

All campers are required to submit the SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp Participation Agreement. Please print the form, fill it out, and turn it in during SOÂ鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Camp Check-In.
